Climate Mat is Viega’s newest manufactured system from our ProRadiant™ heating and cooling products. Designed to work well in light medium commercial buildings, the Climate Mat system enables installers to do large areas of flooring faster and more efficiently than traditional floor systems. The newly developed spacer strips and clips are designed to securely hold ViegaPex™ Barrier tubing during the concrete pour. The special design of the spacer clips prevent tubing from coming loose from spacer strips. Spacer strips are evenly spaced to hold Climate Mat to surface below.
Climate Mats are delivered with shipping headers and sufficient leader length for rough in on site. Later in the construction process shipping headers are cut off and replaced with permanent manifold. Colored sleeves on shipping header indicate individual circuit supply and return line. Climate Mats are factory air pressurized. Shipping header is equipped with quick check valve for onsite quality control.
The Climate Mat system is perfectly suited for large preferable rectangular or square slabs you find in warehouses, car garages, museums, schools, airport terminals, etc.
With Climate Mat radiant heating/cooling becomes an economical solution for commercial space condition. ViegaPEX Barrier has an outer layer of PE to protect the EVOH oxygen diffusion barrier. It is the ideal solution for use in hydronic radiant heating/cooling systems.
