Viega Training Is A Worthy Investment

The New Hampshire based Viega Educational Facility, built in 2006, clearly displays Viega’s commitment to educating the industry. It showcases the benefits of Viega systems and represents Viega’s extensive support of the plumbing and heating business. But more importantly, are the staff members inside the facility who commit their time and energy to developing the Viega learning experience.

Under the direction of Mark Parent, three Viega product trainers -- Jason McKinnon, Dino Pioli, and Dave Desjardins -- spend their days creating and delivering course programs that promote Viega’s broad line of superior products.

Whether you are a new or seasoned professional, Viega has a training that is right for you. Viega programs are recognized by industry professionals as the most interactive and helpful courses in the business.

Mike Elliott, a recent Viega training participant, attests, “The instructors at Viega’s Educational Facility are awesome. All of them are well educated – I learned a lot.” Elliott went on to explain, “They spoil you at the facility – they provide lunch, the accommodations are great, you get the opportunity to network and interact with a lot of other tradesmen…Viega takes learning beyond the classroom.”

Many companies are looking for a way to differentiate themselves from their competition in today’s changing marketplace. Viega differentiates itself by offering the most comprehensive course listing in the industry. Divided between classroom and hands-on applications, Viega training participants learn how Viega products work, why they are different and what makes Viega products the most superior products on the market.

At a time when residential building is slowing down, additional product training can give customers a way to differentiate themselves. For example, external customers who have been specializing in a particular area, such as HVAC, can attend one of Viega’s radiant training courses and start offering different options to their end users. Mike Elliott is a prime example of this practice.

Just weeks after attending Viega’s Radiant Piping & Controls class, Elliott, an 8-year veteran to the trade, felt comfortable enough to install his first radiant system.

“I’m laying the ViegaPEX Barrier tubing for my first concrete slab radiant application this Friday. I’m confident I will be able to do the installation – no problem.”

In tough times, expanding product offerings will allow a contractor additional opportunities to win business that may not have been gained otherwise. Although training might seem like a luxury expense in tight financial times, it is, in fact, one of the most solid and sound investments you can make.
