Viega saw a need for its products in the gas industry, so the company became the first to develop a CSA certified copper press solution specifically for gas. ProPressG fittings and valves allow fast, flameless connections using copper pipe, instead of heavy, hard-to-handle black iron pipe that requires cutting threads for every connection.
Like the traditional ProPress Copper System, ProPressG is designed and engineered for use with a variety of applications. The most common include Natural Gas, LP Gas and Fuel Oil applications. Thousands of installations have been successfully completed since its introduction in Europe in 1999.
ProPressG fittings are built to last. They are heavier than traditional fittings, even heavier than Type K copper tube. A ProPressG connection provides a strong, durable seal that, when installed properly, will last the life of the piping system.
Available in 1/2” to 2” dimensions, Viega ProPressG fittings have a yellow HNBR sealing element and yellow dot which clearly differentiates Viega gas fittings from standard ProPress fittings (with an EPDM sealing element and green dot).

Look for the yellow dots:
1. Identify an unpressed connection during pressure testing when air flows past the sealing element.
2. Upon identification the ProPress tool is used to press the fitting, making a permanent leak-proof connection.
3. ProPress connections are fast, flameless and reliable.
