While some companies are content to conduct a random inspection now and then, Viega's Quality Assurance (QA) department conducts tests every day. All products from our qualified vendors are also inspected. The QA department also performs QA audits, investigates complaints, reviews new products, evaluates warranty claims on returned products and follows up on any customer complaints. We also have extensive long-term field test sites on most of our products before they are released. This diligence ensures our customers get the highest quality product, the right product, delivered on time, every time.
Reliability Assurance Manager for Viega, Chris Joslin explains, "Our primary function is to make sure customers get products that meet the required specifications; that the products will perform thier functions as they were designed; and that we are assuring the products will last for their designed life."
The majority of the QA people are in Viega manufacturing locations in Germany and in our manufacturing and logistics facility in McPherson, Kan. There are also several QA personnel in our Merrimack, N.H. manufacturing and distribution location, along with QA inspectors at all other distribution centers. Joslin adds, "Everyone at Viega is really a quality assurance person. Our employees have the authority to stop any product that does not meet Viega standards from the time the raw material is received until the finished product goes out the door. Although we are very proud of our QA team, our job is to be invisible to the customer and still provide this service to all of our customers."
