The Beginning
It all started with the pour of a nice brew. Founded by Franz Viegener in 1899, Viega’s first product offering was a brass beer tap. By 1901, the company evolved and began manufacturing home plumbing products. But our story, the North American story, really began in 1999, when the family-owned Viega decided to offer a selection of Viega products in the United States. 

New Products
With more than 16,000 products offered worldwide, all of Viega’s systems can be combined to make the work of the contractor faster, easier, environmentally friendly and safe. Known for innovative offerings such as the ProPress copper system, ProRadiant heating, ViegaPEX tubing, and the MANABLOC water distribution system, Viega was able to combine European and American technologies to create a new standard of quality.

New Opportunities
As the number of Viega products continues to grow, Viega keeps expanding its extensively trained and highly specialized sales force. With approximately 500 employees in North America, Viega remains committed to the vision and values of the man who started it all so many years ago. Operating on strict principles of professional integrity and conduct, Viega’s sales team responds quickly with the most up-to-date information by offering personalized customer support for wholesalers, contractors, engineers, architects and consultants – from basic product information to installation and after sales support. Coast to Coast Commitment
Headquartered in Wichita, Kan., Viega delivers not only the highest quality systems available, and the most knowledgeable sales and support staff from America’s heartland, but the best education in the industry. By opening its first North American Educational Facility in Nashua, N.H., in 2006, Viega offers a comprehensive range of training courses from half-day workshops to extensive three-day programs. Dedicated to offering the best education in the industry, Viega is one of the first manufacturers to offer continuing education credits through its training program.

The Future
Viega’s investment in North America continues to grow, with the 2009 opening of its new 439,000 square foot Manufacturing and Distribution Center. The new facility in McPherson, Kan. houses extrusion, injection molding, distribution and office space. Nearly three times as large as Viega’s existing Kansas manufacturing facilities, the new facility demonstrates Viega’s growing commitment to improving customer service with faster delivery times and reduced shipping costs. Twenty-two states throughout the Midwest will receive products from this location. Soon, FostaPEX tubing will be manufactured at this facility and join the other Viega products shipping from this location.
